Mike Tait has a strong corporate background spanning manufacturing, retail and distribution and the IT industry before his more entrepreneurial work as chairman and interim CEO with private equity and venture capital backed businesses.
Mike is former Europe-Africa Vice President & General Manager for Unisys Corporation - the world’s second largest computer company with $10b turnover, where he built and ran a substantial international corporate division. Under Mike's leadership, Unisys became one of Europe's leaders in UNIX and distributed systems. Mike was a key member of the Europe-Africa Executive Board.
Prior to Unisys, Mike held senior national sales management posts with Digital Equipment Corporation.
In recent years Mike has focused on building software companies which have been successfully sold to corporate buyers. Most recently, Mike has been working with leading private equity and venture capital firms as chairman or interim chief executive to turnaround or accelerate the development of investee companies.
Mike's early career was in senior retailing positions with Argos, RHM Foods and Tesco after completing his engineering training with Pye/Philips and Rolls-Royce.
